STOCKHOLM, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Activity in Sweden's service sector decreased in January with the PMI index falling to 54.3 points from a downwardly revised 56.3 points the previous month, compilers Silf and Swedbank said on Wednesday.

It is the second month in a row the index has fallen and it is now below its historical average of 55.6 points.

All the sub-indices fell, with the sub-index for new orders being the biggest drag on the overall figure.

The composite index of services and
manufacturing
fell to 54.8 points from 56 points the previous month.
